CONNECTME · THE DETAILS
Privacy notice
Last updated: 17 September 2026
ConnectMe is operated by Infiverse Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17407279. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Contact: [email protected].
1. Data and sources
We index public X posts discovered by us or suggested by visitors. Entries may contain the post URL and ID, public handle, display name, profile photo, post text and pictures, and location or interests explicitly stated in the source. We use automated assistance through Kern to organise this information and may correct or remove entries. We do not require an account or collect a directory password. Do not submit private posts, sensitive personal details, or information about children.
A submitted URL is stored pending review. The directory displays only published entries; pending and rejected entries are not publicly listed. Buying a boost does not publish the payer’s identity. We store payment identifiers, the linked post, amounts, currency and confirmation times. Stripe collects the billing and payment information needed to process your purchase, including email, payment method, billing address and tax details. Full card numbers do not reach our app. If you contact us, we receive your message and the contact details you provide.
2. Why we use data
We use public post information to operate a useful discovery directory, based on our legitimate interests in helping people find public invitations to connect. We use purchase data to perform the paid boost contract and meet accounting and legal obligations. We process support requests to respond to you, and limited security data to prevent abuse and protect the service. You can object to directory indexing and request removal using the contact details below. We do not sell personal data.
3. Hosting, security and analytics
Vercel hosts the website; AWS hosts the backend, database and private image storage. Requests may produce operational logs, including IP addresses, browser details and timestamps, under those providers’ retention policies. To limit abuse, the app stores a hash derived from a request’s IP address and request counts, rather than the raw IP address. These hashes are pseudonymous, not guaranteed anonymous. Counters reset after an hour.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand pageviews and visitor activity. It uses temporary identifiers rather than analytics cookies; visitor identifiers reset daily. We display aggregate counts publicly, not individual browsing histories. Counts are estimates and returning visitors can be counted on multiple days. Browser settings or blockers may prevent collection. Read Vercel’s analytics privacy information and Vercel’s privacy policy. ConnectMe does not set advertising cookies or run behavioural advertising.
The activity counter sends a heartbeat once a minute while this page is visible. It uses a random identifier kept only in the page’s memory, together with a server timestamp, to estimate page sessions active in the last five minutes. It does not identify people or connect activity to a post or purchase. Separate tabs or reloads can count separately. Inactive records stop counting after five minutes and are deleted in batches by our regular cleanup; cleanup delays do not extend the count.
Payments are handled by Stripe, whose own processing and merchant-of-record obligations are described in Stripe’s privacy policy. Opening an X post takes you to X, where X’s policies apply. Our service providers, including providers used for assisted indexing, may process information outside your country. Where required, transfers must rely on applicable adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards.
4. Retention
We store copies of public profile photos and post pictures in private AWS storage and display them through temporary links. Removing a post stops new image links from being issued; existing links expire within an hour. Private image copies may remain until storage cleanup. We retain published post data while it serves the directory, subject to correction and removal requests. Pending and rejected submissions remain in our records until reviewed or removed, so repeated submissions can be recognised. Request-limit hashes remain until cleaned up; resetting a counter does not erase its identifier. We retain payment and support records where needed for delivery, refunds, disputes, security or legal and accounting obligations. Removal from the public directory may therefore leave a limited non-public record. We do not promise immediate deletion from provider backups.
5. Your choices and rights
To request removal of a post, correct information, object to indexing, ask about assisted processing, or exercise access, deletion, restriction or portability rights where applicable, email [email protected]. Include the post URL and enough information to identify your request. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing or changing records. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any retention required by law.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local data protection authority. This notice may change as the service develops; the date above identifies the current version.
